Our Approach
Working with prestige businesses, we recognise the importance of building
relationships and continuity between clients and consultants. We always try to
dedicate the same team to a client. This ensures that the team accumulate their understanding
and, for programme participants, there is always a familiar face to the
development.
Our preferred approach is always to work from the client's desired outcomes
to design an intervention that delivers what is needed, in a style that is
sympathetic to the client's way of working and culture. Our approach principles
are:
- To understand the client's business strategy and therefore the desired
outcomes, both in terms of immediate issues and the strategic ambitions of the
organisation.
- To build relationships with stakeholders to
understand their different needs.
- To design an intervention that delivers the needs of the organisation and
the clients whilst being sensitive to the culture of the organisation.
- To constantly review and adjust the intervention to ensure that it is
delivering the organisation's needs (which may change).
In practical terms, this means spending time with the client and shaping the
most appropriate response with them.

Our Style
We have been developing leaders and managers of businesses since 1989 and
therefore believe that we have enough experience to know what works for
individuals. This includes:
- Recognising that our role as facilitators is to work with the leaders and
managers on their leadership journey; to facilitate them in moving from the
familiar to the unfamiliar through the provision of challenge, support, input
and ideas.
- Balancing input with facilitation. Making sure that individuals can build
from a clear foundation of best practice before developing their own ideas for
implementation.
- Always remembering and recognising our role as consultants. However much
we work with an organisation, we always remain 'on the edge' of that
organisation.
